Two more people have been arrested related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.
The arrests follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.
A toddler aged three was among the injured during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were later released.
Police detained a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Police were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several people hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.
The attack - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
