Tehran is prepared to resume nuclear negotiations with Washington on condition that it is handled with "respect" and "honor", Tehran's top diplomat has declared.

Abbas Araghchi said only diplomacy was effective, and shared recent overtures had come from mediators to restart discussions with the US government. He asserted Iran did not have unreported enrichment locations, and Iran had not yet reached a point to allow the global atomic watchdog to inspect attacked atomic facilities for protective measures.

Navigating a Complex Path

The foreign minister is treading a complex course since Iran aims to avoid appear to be proceeding from a position of disadvantage, and he emphatically stated that Iran had arisen more resilient defensively and emotionally from the joint assault on its atomic facilities in June.

He was addressing at a security conference in Tehran where he restated that Iran had "an absolute privilege to enrich uranium domestically that it will never give up" – the key factor of the deadlock in the prior discussions.

Earlier Discussions Unexpectedly Concluded

In his remarks to the conference, aimed to depict the US as a dominant force that exploits the concept of international law, Araghchi declared the fortnight-long engagement showed the conflict could not be resolved by military means.
